ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1880s police badge made by hand. The badge is oval and simply reads POLICE in a typewriter-like font.

VINTAGE: Circa early 1880s.

SIZE: 1-11/16" height 2-1/2" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal safety-style pin with "C" catch.

MARKINGS: N/A.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a police collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VBHX02 LAFEX8/10

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): Badge shows several small spots of wear and a light tarnish.
