ARTIFACT: This is a late World War II United States Army Air Forces 528th Fighter-Bomber/Fighter Squadron, 311th Fighter-Bomber/Fighter Group, 10th Air Force jacket patch for the CBI theatre, where they served from October 1943 until August 1945. The group flew V-72s and A-36s, finishing out their tour by flying P-51s. The patch is American-made and shows a skeleton with crossed leg bones and bat-like wings holding a brown missile. The patch is embroidered on wool felt.

VINTAGE: Circa late World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 5" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Wool felt embroidered in cotton/silk threads, mesh backing.

ATTACHMENT: To be sewn onto Flight Clothing.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The patch has a few small moth nips, mostly along the edge.
