ARTIFACT:
This is a history of the United States Army Air Forces 456th Bomb Group, 15th Air Force in Italy. The history is in a calendar format, showing the month-by-month moves of the 456th during 1945. The reverse of each calendar page offers text: as an example, the back of the December page lists the twenty missions flown just during that month, predominantly over Germany and Austria. The first page is a photo of and letter from the Group's commander, Col. Thomas W. Steed.
