ARTIFACT: This is the Winter 1980 edition of "Cross & Cockade Journal" Volume 21, Number 4. This publication was issued quarterly by the Society of World War I Aero Historians. Some of the articles in this issue are entitled "Recollections of 1st Lt. Karl C. Payne, 20th Aero Squadron", "Victory Logs: Lafayette Escadrille / Lafayette Flying Corps" and "Plumage of the Warbirds, No. 2 (20th Aero / Esc Spa 24".
