Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a Model 1876 United States Marine Corps enlisted man shako helmet plate. The plate has a correct loop-back EGA in silver at its center and red and blue painted areas on its background. The plate has silver mounting glue on its reverse.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1876.

SIZE:

Approximately 2-7/8" in height and 2-3/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gilt brass, painted areas.

ATTACHMENT:

Loops.

MARKINGS:

None.
