ARTIFACT: Have your cup of morning joe in a cup that Jimmy Doolittle may once have had his in! This is a coffee mug possibly owned by General James H. "Jimmy" Doolittle and made by a relative or descendant of his in the 1950s or 1960s. Most famous for his "Tokyo Raid", Doolittle received the Medal of Honor for conceiving of and carrying out his secret and successful five-pronged Japanese bombing mission. The mug is signed on the bottom by one of the General's relatives, Doug.
VINTAGE: Circa 1950s-1960s
SIZE: Approximately 4" in height; opening is 3-1/2" x 4".
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Painted ceramic.
