ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1965 California Police Chief Hat Badge worn by the First Chief of the Carpinteria Police Department.
From the Collection of a famous former Sheriff of Santa Barbara County, who also wore this badge prior to becoming Sheriff of Santa Barbara Sheriff's Office.

VINTAGE: Circa 1965s.

SIZE: Approximately 2-5/8" in height x 2-7/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS: Gold-plated and silver-plated brass and hard fired multi-enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Two screw Post with Disk backings.
