ARTIFACT: This is a rare Civil War era register of officers and NCOs for the United States Navy and United States Marine Corps. The book is from January 1864 and is named to H. E. Drury. It includes pay rates, resignations and dismissals, and locations and dates of service for each officer, as well as fates of ships and other information.

VINTAGE: Circa Civil War.

SIZE: 289 black and white pages (no illustrations) ; approximately 8-3/4" in height and 5-7/8" in width and 1" in thickness.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Leather-wrapped cardboard, paper.

ATTACHMENT: Glued binding.

MARKINGS: H. E. DRURY handwritten nameplate on cover; WASHINGTON: GOVERNMENT PRINTING OFFICE 1864.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a military book collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAJJX09 LBIEX3/12 SBGEX6/14

CONDITION: 5+ (Fine-): The book is delicate and has seen a lot of use. The spine is very worn, and the cover is separated from the rest of the book and is peeling and scuffed in a few places. The interior pages of the book are in much better condition, with no tears or marks, and the end pages have small discolored borders.
