ARTIFACT: This is a great old circa early 1900s or 1910s police badge from Laconia, New Hampshire: the home of Motorcycle Week! This badge would have been worn around the period when the first unofficial meeting of a few hundred motorcyclists happened upon Weirs Beach. Seven years later it was the real deal, and the police department in 1923 could never have conceived of how gargantuan their task would become at future Bike Weeks. The badge is in the radiator style with an interesting linked border and has a nice shine.

VINTAGE: Circa 1900s-1910s.

SIZE: Approximately 2-5/8" in height and 2-5/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Stamped nickel, plated nickel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical kick pin with forked locking catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a police and law enforcement collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MABEX13 LCBEX6/13 SBGEX1/14

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The badge has only light wear with most of the lettering missing.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
