ARTIFACT: This is a World War II hardcover copy of the United States Army Air Forces book "The Officer's Guide". The book has several photographs of wings, uniforms, and more. It also displays 120 images of squadron insignia, in color! This book was originally owned by a member of the Women's Army Corps (WAC), Virginia Rocco. She wrote her name and ID number inside the front cover. This is the 9th edition of the book, and ir was published in 1943 by the Military Service Publishing Company of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

VINTAGE: Published 1943 (World War II).

SIZE: 540 pages including photographs and illustrations. Approximately 9-5/8" in height and 6-3/4" in width and 1-5/16" in thickness.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Cloth-bound cover, paper.

ATTACHMENT: Glued binding.

MARKINGS: Virginia Rocco A-116508 written inside front cover; Copyright, 1943 by Military Service Publishing Co. Harrisburg, PA. 9th Edition, 1943 (7).

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army Air Forces collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAJX05 LFJX6/13 SLFJX11/14

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The book has some light wear to the cover; endpapers only have small spots of staining; general yellowing; no writing or tears inside.
