SUBJECT:
This is an official employee badge from the 1893 Columbian Exposition in Chicago. The badge is circular and is wreathed by laurel leaves, reading WORLD’S COLUMBIAN EXPOSITION 1893 and stamped 33769 at its center.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1893.
SIZE:
1-1/8” diameter.
CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS:
Gold-plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:
Vertical pin with come-under “C” catch.
MARKINGS:
Hard to read maker’s mark and CHICAGO.
