ARTIFACT: This is a great Ranch 101 Wild West Show 1915 season pass or souvenir badge. Ranch 101, later known as the Miller Brothers Ranch 101, was a large Oklahoma farm and ranch compound started in 1893 by Confederate veteran Colonel George Washington Miller. His three sons acquired the business upon his death in 1903 and within a few years had organized a Wild West show that toured the country and later, parts of Europe. The troupe met with one disaster after another both at home and abroad, arguably the least of which was the death of one of their stars, Buffalo Bill. The last surviving brother hung up his show hat in 1939. The ranch is on the National Register of Historic Places. The badge is in gilt and enameled brass and has a great action scene in relief at its center.

VINTAGE: Circa 1915.

SIZE: Approximately 7/8" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical safety-style pin with saddle.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an old rodeo souvenir collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay MCJX07 LEGEX2/14 SDIJX2/15
