This is a rare Athol, Massachusetts World War I service medal named to George M. Dodge. The medal is on a red, white and blue striped ribbon and the front reads PEQUOIAG SETTLED 1735 ATHOL INC. 1762 and pictures the bust of Colonel John Murray. The reverse reads IN RECOGNITION OF SERVICE IN THE WAR FOR LIBERTY 1914-1919 and has Dodge’s name engraved on a bar at center.
