ARTIFACT: 1920's - 1930's United States Customs uniform button cover. The button displays a shield with a square cutout featuring the Great Seal of the United States in raised detail, the US Shield shows thirteen stars along the top. The edges of the button have a nice rope-like detail and reads: "U.S. CUSTOMS" across the top. This particular example has been dented. The button cover came along with a USCG New York Port identification card and a beautiful US Customs Hat Badge, see links below.

VINTAGE: Circa 1920's - 1930's

SIZE: Approximately 7/8" in diameter

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a police and law enforcement collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAX@15 LBCX1/16

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The uniform button shows moderate wear, has been dented (see photograph), but much of the plating details remain intact.
