ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1870s tintype of what appears to be a Boston, Massachusetts police officer. The officer is obviously a Civil War veteran from the fact that he is wearing an early 1870s GAR (Grand Army of the Republic) membership medal (please see detail above). He is pictured in full uniform, along with his club, badge and top hat. The tintype comes in a paper folder.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a police and law enforcement collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. PTNR-GWJ-13 LCDEX8/13 SLBGEX7/16 SeVCDEX03/13/21
