ARTIFACT: This is a 1930s sleeve shield for the Fascist Militia Anti-Aircraft unit. The Militia (Milizia Controaerei) was formed in 1927 and provided defense complimentary to the military anti-aircraft units, as well as observation and manning of searchlights.

VINTAGE: Circa 1930s.

SIZE: Approximately 2-7/8" in height and 2-3/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Painted aluminum.

ATTACHMENT: Three small holes.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine-Excellent): The shield has some small areas of light wear.
