This is a Weimar-era "Amper Glonn Gau" Homeland Security officer’s badge, which came to us along with some Bavarian veteran's medals and ribbons. The badge is diamond-shaped and shows a lion bearing a shield with the words “Amper Glonn Gau”.
VINTAGE:
Circa World War I.
SIZE:
Approximately 1-9/16” in height and 1-3/16” in width.
CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS:
Plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:
Vertical safety-style pin.
