SUBJECT:
This is a circa 1880s-1890s “thumbnail” fire badge from N. F. Fire Department Hose #1. The badge has a wonderful cut-out design with a number one at center detailed with a scrolling design. The badge also has a delicate border and detailing around the cut-out, and the initials J.E.B. are engraved on the front.

Circa 1880s-1890s.
SIZE:
1-1/4" height and 15/16” width.
CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS:
Gold-plated.
