ARTIFACT: This is a circa World War I United States Army Model 1917 trench fighting knife. This "knuckle" knife is dated 1917 and is by Landers, Frary & Clark (L. F. & C), complete with scabbard.

VINTAGE: Circa 1917.

SIZE: Knife: approximately 14" in length and 4" in width; blade only: approximately 8-3/4" in length and 1/2" in width. Scabbard: 10".

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Steel, wood, painted-leather wrapped scabbard.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: U.S. L.F.&C. (Landers, Frary & Clark) 1917. Scabbard: JLWLLL-1918

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. CON-DMB-25-14 LFIEX11/14 RETV06/19

CONDITION: 9- (Excellent+): The dagger shows some light to medium wear and oxidation, the paint on the scabbard is bright and superb.
