This is a 1968 first edition of H. H. Arnason’s “History of Modern Art”. Arnason was Vice President for Art Administration for the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation, and his catalog was the most comprehensive review of modern art when it was published, with 1393 illustrations of important works.
