This is a rare 1930s operator badge for B&M (Boston and Maine) Transportation Company, a railroad-owned bus lines operating from 1924 until 1957. The badge is by S. M. Spencer Manufacturing Company of Boston, Massachusetts and is numbered 207.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1930s.
SIZE:
Approximately 1-1/2” in height and 1-3/8” in width.
CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS:
Plated brass with painted areas.
ATTACHMENT:
Vertical pin on bar with drop-in locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:
S.M. SPENCER MFG. CO. & CORNHILL BOSTON MASS.; PAT number on bar.
