ARTIFACT:
This is a dated 1954 equator-crossing certificate from Pan-American grace Airways (Panagra) for Roger Cotton Brown, a well-known filmmaker. The certificate was given to Brown after a flight from Santiago, Chile to Miami, Florida in September 1954. It is signed by “Jupiter Rex”, and comes with its original mailer, which is stamped and postmarked.

Certificate: approximately 12-1/2" in height by 9-1/2" in width; mailer is 13-3/4” by 17-3/4” (when unfolded).
CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS:
Printed paper, foil, silk ribbon, cardboard.

Fold-over mailer with metal fasteners.

CONDITION:
7+ (Very Fine+): The certificate has some small spots of minor discoloration and the mailer is in very good shape except for some fading and oxidation to the fasteners.
