This is a dated 1954 equator-crossing certificate from Pan-American grace Airways (Panagra) for Roger Cotton Brown, a well-known filmmaker. The certificate was given to Brown after a flight from Santiago, Chile to Miami, Florida in September 1954. It is signed by “Jupiter Rex”, and comes with its original mailer, which is stamped and postmarked.
Certificate: approximately 12-1/2" in height by 9-1/2" in width; mailer is 13-3/4” by 17-3/4” (when unfolded).
Printed paper, foil, silk ribbon, cardboard.
Fold-over mailer with metal fasteners.
This is from an airline collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. CON-DB-50-12 LFEX3/12
7+ (Very Fine+): The certificate has some small spots of minor discoloration and the mailer is in very good shape except for some fading and oxidation to the fasteners.
As with all my items, this piece is guaranteed original.
