This is a beautiful old circa 1940s Navajo-made “concho” belt. The belt is beautifully rendered in coin silver, turquoise and red coral. All of the conchos are oval and the same size while the buckle is in a slightly different, boxier shape.
Approximately 2-1/2” in height (each concho) and 43” total in length.
Leather, coin silver, turquoise, coral.
Belt prong and holes.
This is from an American Indian collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VCEJX03 LHIEX12/11
7+ (Very Fine+): The belt is in nice, wearable condition with supple leather and some tarnishing on the reverse of the conchos. Some conchos have minor pitting to the coral and the buckle has a small piece of turquoise that has chipped away.
As with all my items, this piece is guaranteed original.
