ARTIFACT: This is an extremely rare WWII CBI-made US Army Air Forces Flight Nurse wing in gilt silver. The wing features a caduceus, the traditional symbol of Hermes -a winged staff encircled by snakes and the letter: "N".

VINTAGE: Circa WWII

SIZE: Approximately 5/8" in height by 2" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt silver.

ATTACHMENT: Two clutch-posts with backings.

MARKINGS: "PAT NO 1454857" on backing

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Flight Nurse collection which we will be listing more of over the next months. VHGX07, LGIEV08.

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent) This wing is in great shape with slight tarnishing and wear, much of the gilt details remain intact.
