ARTIFACT:
This is a scarce official Civil Air Patrol (CAP) member lapel “wing”. The wing is in sterling silver with red and blue enamel and was made by Gemsco.
VINTAGE:
Circa World War II.
SIZE:
Approximately 3/8” in height and 1” in width.
CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS:
Sterling silver, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:
Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:
GEMSCO (twice - partially unreadable because of pin).
