This is a rare circa 1945 P-80A Shooting Star general arrangement blueprint poster. The Shooting Star was manufactured by Lockheed, and the original P-80 had been the first jet fighter officially used by the United States Army Air Forces. The P-80A was fine-tuned and ready for use in 1945 after several test-related accidents. This poster is stamped both UNCONTROLLED COPY and RESTRICTED ILLUSTRATION.
Approximately 36-1/8" in height by 24" in width (not including foam board).
UNCONTROLLED COPY and RESTRICTED ILLUSTRATION stamps.
This poster will be shipped unwrapped and rolled without the foam board, unless arrangements are made for pick-up or special shipping to preserve the shrink wrap mounting. This is from a United States Army Air Forces collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAJX00 LCDEX11/11
7- (Very Fine-): The poster has a swoosh-shaped mark of discoloration along with some other areas, and has overall light yellowing and minor creasing.
As with all my items, this piece is guaranteed original.
