ARTIFACT: This is a rare early Ð mid 1960's large sized Air America Pilot hat badge made in enameled sterling silver. The badge was originally owned and worn by Gordon V. Smith, Pilot of CNAC (China National Aviation Corporation), CAT (Civil Air Transport Inc.), Air America, and ICCS (International Cargo & Corporate Service). This badge is in exceptional condition, as pieces such as this are very prone to having their enamel stripped from use.

VINTAGE: Circa 1960's

SIZE: About 2-3/8" x 2

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Enameled Sterling Silver

ATTACHMENT: Screwback pin

MARKINGS: "AIR AMERICA. STERLING."

ITEM NOTES: This is from an Air America collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAJJM15 LABGEX4/17 SAAJJX5/17

CONDITION: 9- (Excellent+): There is light wear on this badge, and the patina as well as the enamel is exquisite.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
