ARTIFACT: Named WWI United States Navy Aviator Field Green Tunic. A beautiful, circa WWI bullion pilot wing, gilt brass buttons, and bullion shoulder boards. The tunic is made by A. Schuman Co. in Boston, Massachusetts. The uniform is dated November 1918, the name is hard to read: W. Mathew (?) Mather (?) Mathis (?).

VINTAGE: Circa WWI

SIZE: Approximately 16" from shoulder to shoulder across back; 23" from top shoulder to cuff; 18" from armpit to armpit; 28" top of collar to bottom of hem

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Bullion, wool, gilt brass, cardboard

ATTACHMENT: Gilt brass buttons.

MARKINGS: Pocket tag reads: "A Shuman Co Boston Đ Mr. W. Mathew (?) Date: Nov 18 No.: A83 95649; Collar tag reads: "A Shuman Co. Boston Shuman Corner"; Inside pocket shows letter: "M

CONDITION: 6 (Fine+): Tunic show light wear, but moderate to heavy storage wear and repairs from mothing. A few mothing remains unsewn. Inside of tunic shows separation in the arm/breast area of one side (see photo). Scattered moth nips (see photos)
