ARTIFACT: This is a wonderful and unique circa 1910s or 1920s Trinidad, Colorado policeman badge with a gun belt loop on reverse! The badge is unmarked, but was undoubtedly made by Sachs-Lawlor of Denver. It once was a pin-back style and was coverted. The large and handsome badge is numbered 4 at center. Trinidad is the county sear of Colorado's Las Animas County and is an historic town in Old West mining country. In August 1902 the worst United States mining disaster to date happened at nearby Bowen Town coal mine.

VINTAGE: Circa 1910's - 1920's.

SIZE: Approximately 2-7/8" in height and 1-13/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Gun belt loop (converted form original pin-back style).

MARKINGS: Unmarked, but undoubtedly made by Sachs-Lawlor of Denver.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an old Colorado police and law enforcement badge collection that we will be listing more of over the next few months. MCJJX13 LACGEX3/14 SABJJX3/14

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The badge has only very light wear.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
