ARTIFACT:
Nice Korean War Era United States Navy Officer cap badge for service with the US Marine Corps. The handsome badge depicts an eagle perched, wings spread atop a stars and bars shield in nice detail and showing thirteen stars, behind the shield are crossed anchors draped with rope. The reverse shows the die markings of sterling and gold fill construction, however this example was stamped in blackened copper.
