ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1910s fire parade ribbon for the North Beach, New York (now LaGuardia Airport) Fire Prevention Association. North Beach later became a Work Projects Administration project and was re-christened as the Glenn H. Curtiss Airport. It is now known as LaGuardia. This ribbon was for a "Lady" member, and has a celluloid hanging form the topmost ribbon. It was made by T&M Stamps.

VINTAGE: Circa 1910s.

SIZE: Approximately 4-7/8" in height and 1-1/2" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Celluloid-wrapped tin, plated brass, paper, clear celluloid, silk.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal safety-style pin.

MARKINGS: T&N Stampers union or maker mark on front at bottom.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an early New York fire parade ribbon collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MDX12 LAAEX1/14 SAAEX3/14

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The ribbon has some light to medium wear, mostly to the silk.
