ARTIFACT: This is a scarce circa 1930s Littleton, Colorado Fire Department Fire Operator badge numbered 1. The fire operator had responsibilities having to do with fire alarms and signals. Littleton was incorporated as a city in 1890 decades after it first was a part of the Pike's Peak Gold Rush, and it was named after a New Hampshire entrepreneur, Richard Sullivan Little. It is within the Denver metropolitan area. The badge has a raised hand grasping lightning bolts at its center.

VINTAGE: Circa 1930s.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/2" in height and 1-3/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an old Colorado fire and rescue badge collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MCIX14 LAGEX2/14 SICX2/15

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The badge has only some small spots of light wear.
