ARTIFACT: This is an extremely rare circa 1918-1919 Royal Air Force (RAF) dress uniform jacket with a gorgeous bullion wing and a ribbon bar. The jacket is in a lovely sky blue hue and one sleeve has a golden wound stripe near its cuff. There is no size label (please see measurements below). It has a rear vent and wool lining beneath the collar.

VINTAGE: Circa 1918-1919.

SIZE: No size tag. Wing approximately 4-1/4" by 1-3/8". Tunic: approximately 18" from armpit to armpit; 28-1/2" length from collar to hem (on reverse); 23-1/2" from shoulder seam to cuff; 17-1/2" between shoulders.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Tunic: wool, silk, cotton, brass; wing: wool embroidered in bullion thread.

ATTACHMENT: Buttons, attached belt with buckle.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a WWI Royal Air Force uniform collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. CON-RLB L/SDFGEX5/14

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The jacket has very little wear (one minor moth hole in collar) and tarnish and some light wear to the lining only.
