This is a rare circa late 1950s United States Air Police badge Type 2 reading AIR POLICE / DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE / UNITED STATES OF AMERICA / 66544. Badge is shaped like a medal with an eagle spreading its wings at top. A badge-shaped inset at the center is in blue and white enamel.
VINTAGE:
Circa late 1950s (1959).
SIZE:
2-9/16" height and 1-5/8" width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Silver-plated brass with blue and white enamel.
ATTACHMENT:
Vertical silver-plated brass pin with drop-in swivel catch.
MARKINGS:
PROPERTY OF THE U.S. GOVERNMENT on reverse.
