ARTIFACT: This is a rare World War II "service medal" or Welcome Home Ribbon presented to Edward R. Roy by Northbridge, Massachusetts. The medal comes in its original mailing box and envelope and is accompanied by a small thank you card from the town.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Medal: approximately 4-1/4" in height and 2-1/16" in width; envelope: 5-7/8" by 3-5/16".

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass, silk, paper, celluloid; paper.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal safety-style pin, backplate; clasp on envelope.

MARKINGS: Maker's info on reverse of envelope.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a WWII service medal collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. Ebay VAJX13 LEJX5/14

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The medal has storage creasing and the paperwork shows light yellowing/aging.
