ARTIFACT: Nice 1950's USAE United States Army Europe Labor Service Agency numbered Polish Labor Service Commemorative Badge. The center features the letters CGTC (Civilian Guard Training Center) flanked by wings and below a blue square centered between two bars of red and white stripes and displays a five point star. There is a red and white silk ribbon piece that points up and is removable, see photo. The reverse of the badge shows the number: "17163" and reads: "FRITZ KOHM METALLWARENFBK PFORZHEIM". All Labor Service personnel wore grey-blue uniforms with CG (Civilian Guard) lettering on their helmets. The members were trained at US military ranges and participated in military maneuvers.

VINTAGE: Circa 1950's.

SIZE: Approximately 2-5/8" in length x 1-5/16" in height. 2-3/8" in height with ribbon.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Enamel, nickel plated nickel

ATTACHMENT: Single screw post with screwback.

MARKINGS: "17163", "FRITZ KOHM METALLWARENFBK PFORZHEIM"

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The badge shows moderate and soiling to enamel and ribbon, much of the plating and enamel details remain intact, overall very fine condition.
