ARTIFACT: Beautiful 1915, WWI French "Day of the Trench Soldiers" donation medallion designed by Armand Bargas and depicts two soldiers on the field, one sounding his trench bugle and it reads: "Journee du Poilu 1915" meaning, "Hairy Days", a term of endearment describing the bearded French forces. The reverse reads: "25 - 26 Decembre", making it known as the Christmas medal. 'Journees' were nationwide days of donation and substantial contributions were rewarded with a medal to be worn as a display of one's support for the war effort.

VINTAGE: Circa WWI

SIZE: Approximately 1 3/16 x 1 3/8

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Bronze.

ATTACHMENT: Loop.

MARKINGS: "BRONZE"
