ARTIFACT: Nice WWII British Paratrooper wing, removed from uniform. The British Paratroopers saw equal success and loss during the war and were instrumental during many major operations. Immediately following the end of WWII, the 1st Airborne was tasked with disarming the still strong, German occupation army and supervising their surrender during Operation Norway in 1945. The wing shows a cream colored parachute with light blue wings embroidered on olive drab felt. The wing came along with a British Parachute Regiment shoulder title (see link below)

VINTAGE: Circa WWII

SIZE: Approximately 3-3/4" x 1-1/2"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Embroidered olive drab wool felt, cotton/polyester/silk thread with canvas backing

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Great Britain and Commonwealth collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VDJM15 LAFEX1/16 SAEJX5/16

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): The wing shows minor wear, was removed from uniform and is in overall excellent condition.
