ARTIFACT: This is a United States Army Air Forces 471st Bomb Squadron, 334th Bomb Group, 3rd Air Force patch. The design shows a black bear ready to hurl a missile.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: About 4" in width x4-1/2" in height.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Cotton embroidery thread on wool, muslin backing.

ATTACHMENT: To be sewn onto Flight Clothing.

MARKINGS: 471 BS written on reverse.
