ARTIFACT: This is a United States Army Air Forces 305th Bomb Group, 8th Air Force jacket patch. The 305th was activated March 1, 1942 and was eventually stationed in England. It received two Distinguished Unit Citations and participated in the Battle of the Bulge. The 305th was deactivated on Christmas Day, 1946. The patch was hand-painted in England, and shows a gloved fist pulverizing a swastika with a missile. The patch reads CAN DO.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: About 4-1/4" wide by 5-1/2" high.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Leather with painted image.

ATTACHMENT: To be sewn onto a garment; hoel at top.

MARKINGS: ? AAC SEILER hard to read stamps on reverse.
