ARTIFACT: This is a squadron patch for the United States Army Air Forces 43rd Bomb Squadron, 29th Bomb Group, 20th Air Force. This squadron was highly decorated and flew B-29 aircraft. Staff Sgt. Henry E. Brown, a Medal of Honor recipient, led this squadron on attacks against Tokyo and other locations. The patch shows a mean-looking silver eagle riding a shiny red missile.

VINTAGE: Circa late World War II.

SIZE: 4-15/16" diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Painted leather.
