ARTIFACT: Extremely rare circa 1943 United States Army Air Force Training Program 337th College Training Detachment Flight Instructor jacket patch. The unit was based out at Clarion State Teacher's College in Clarion, Pennsylvania. The center of the patch features a white duck with yellow wings wearing a black top hat and along the top it reads: "337th C. T. D." and along the bottom: "FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR". The patch is made of multi-piece felt with a chain stitch.

VINTAGE: Circa 1943

SIZE: Approximately 3 ½" x 3 ¼"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Multi-piece felt and chain stitch

ATTACHMENT: To be sewn on.

MARKINGS: "100 % WOOL WITH ORNAMENTATION"

ITEM NOTES: This is from a USAAF collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MBGEV15 LFGEX8/15

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine—Excellent): The patch shows mild to moderate storage/age/soiling wear, overall excellent condition.
