ARTIFACT: This is a mint World War II United States 400th Bomb Squadron, 90th Bomb Group, 5th Air Force "Jolly Roger" jacket patch made in Australia. The patch belonged to navigator James Ohrman, and is sold with three period photographs, a 1944-1945 mission list, Ohrman's dog tag and his post-World War II name tag.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Patch: about 4-5/16" in diameter; other items are of various sizes.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Patch: wool embroidered in silk/cotton thread with treated backing; remaining items are made of expected materials.

MARKINGS: Photo 1: 140 (dated Oct. 31, 1943 with handwriting); Photo 2: November 1944 Netherland, East India; Photo 3: July 11, 1943 (other writing blurred).

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army Air Forces collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VCJJX11 LIJJX9/11 SGIEX7/18

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): The items are in various conditions but overall are excellent: the patch is minty, and the other items shows some yellowing.
