ARTIFACT: This is a Korean War member card for the United States Air Force Mosquito Officers' Club. "Mosquitoes" were forward observers collaborating with T-6 pilots to plot enemy locations, and were nicknamed so by the Koreans because they were always "buzzing" around in their search. The card is blue and shows logo at its center of a mosquito who is doing reconnaissance work and has sprouted airplane wings and a tail. The officer's name is typewritten on the front: 1/LT HARRY A. STOWILL. The reverse of the card is blank.

VINTAGE: Circa Korean War.

SIZE: Approximately 2-7/8"e; in height and 3-5/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Printed, colored paper.

ATTACHMENT: None.

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The card has some slight fading and some areas of light to medium chewing, mostly along the edge.
