ARTIFACT: This is a unit history of the United States Army Air Forces 8th Air Force ("The 8th Sees England"). The center spread of the book shows the many wings and groups associated with the 8th, each as an airplane, and their squadrons as bombs or other devices. In addition to action photos, the book contains many pictures of the English, Welsh and Scottish countryside and cities the 8th passed through. The book was published in 1946 in Los Angeles, California.

VINTAGE: Circa post-World War II (1946).

SIZE: 82 pages with a black and white photographs and illustrations; approximately 10-3/4" in height and 8-3/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Construction paper cover, paper.

ATTACHMENT: Stapled binding.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army Air Forces collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. LADEX4/13

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The book shows some light wear and a few small spots of yellowing on the back cover. Light rust on staples. No stains, tears or writing inside.
