ARTIFACT: This is a rare unit history of the United States Army Air Forces 452nd Bombardment Group ("452nd Bombardment Group: A Pictorial History") with great examples of jacket back and nose art pictured inside. Constituted in 1943, the 452nd was assigned to the 8th Air Force and was transferred to England. The book has a great color cover and the back cover shows the color insignia of the 452nd's four bombardment squadrons, "The Fightin' Foursome": the 728th, 729th, 730th and 731st. The book was printed in England.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: 44 pages with a black and white photographs and illustrations; approximately 11-1/4" in height and 8-7/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Cloth-bound cover, paper.

ATTACHMENT: Glued binding.

MARKINGS: Printed by Jarrold and Sons, Limited, Norwich, England.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army Air Forces collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAB/EX06 LCDEX4/13 SCDEX07/20

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The book shows some light wear and a few small spots on the cover with creasing at two of its corners. Small strip of paper missing from top corner of title page. No stains or writing inside.
