ARTIFACT:
This is a classic World War I unit history, "Squadron 95", written by Harold Buckley, a pilot with the 95th Aero Squadron. It is inscribed by the author to Bernt Balchen, a pioneering polar navigator of Norwegian descent. The 95th was the first American flying squadron to take up the fight during the Great War. This book was published in 1933 in France and has several period photographs and illustrations. One of the appendices includes a roster and statistics.

227 pages; approximately 8-1/2"e; in height and 6-1/2" in width.

Embossed cloth-bound cover, paper.

This is from an early USAAF book collection that we will be listing more of over the next few months. MADCX14 LCIEX8/147+ (Very Fine+): The book has some light to medium wear along cover edges; binding is intact but delicate with some partial separation in spots (some pages have been taped but tape is missing).
