ARTIFACT:
Great 1950’s Carling’s Black Label plastic advertising sign with famous slogan: “Hey Mabel, Black Label!” in excellent condition. Mabel was slang for ‘waitress’ and the sign depicts a cocktail waitress carrying a tray with a bottle and glass, wearing an apron and uniform. The bottle she is standing beside is a Carling’s Black Label and reads: “CARLING’S BLACK LABEL BEER BREWING CORPORATION OF AMERICA, CLEVELAND, OHIO”. The bottom of the sign is red and reads: “HEY MABEL..BLACK LABEL!” in white lettering.
