ARTIFACT: Cool WWI New England war worker ribbon for the 102nd Machine Gun Battalion and Headquarters Troop, 26th Division (Yankee Division) by Whitehead & Hoag Co. The ribbon reads: "WE ARE WORKING FOR THE 102nd MACHINE GUN BATTALION AND HEADQUARTERS TROOP 26th DIVISION" and the bottom includes the "MASSACHUSETTS CAVALRY" and the "1st VERMONT INFANTRY". The reverse features a great paper label that reads: "THIS BADGE MANUFACTURED BY THE WHITEHEAD & HOAG CO. Makers of Badges, Buttons, Banners, Signs, and Advertising Novelties. Main Office and Factory - - Newark, N. J. ALL GOODS GUARANTEED UNION MADE". A great piece of WWI New England history!
