ARTIFACT: This is a 1930's-40's Asburg Park, NJ Police Reserve Captian badge, which can be used as either a lapel or wallet badge. It's made in gilt brass. The badge has an emblem in the middle, depicting the symbol for the New Jersey Police Association. It is supposed to depict two people on either side of a shield with three ox plows in it. Atop the shield is the Knight chess piece.

VINTAGE: Circa 1930's-40's

SIZE: Approximately 1-3/8" x 1-1/4

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with broken locking swivel catch

MARKINGS: "CAPTAIN. POLICE RESERVES. ASBURY PARK. N.J

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Fire Chief Badge collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VDX12 LAAEX02/17

CONDITION: 6+ (Fine-Very Fine): There is some moderate wear on the badge, as well as light warping.
